5. Liability
All liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Fidevo accepts no responsibility for the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the content, for non-binding sample calculations, or for the offers, decisions and content of financing institutions or linked third-party websites. Mandatory statutory liability (in particular for unlawful intent or gross negligence) remains reserved.
6. Guides and website content
All content on this website, in particular blog/guide articles, FAQs, loan calculators and sample calculations, is provided solely for general information and does not constitute legal, tax or financial advice. The content is prepared with care but may be incomplete, out of date or inaccurate in individual cases; legal provisions and terms (e.g. interest rates) may change at any time. No guarantee is given as to accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Only the binding information and contracts of the respective financing institution are authoritative. No liability is accepted for decisions you make on the basis of this content.
7. Fixed costs, budget and calculators
Fixed costs, month-end closing, plan, timeline, simulations and summary are calculated using your own information and openly stated assumptions (e.g. interest rates, returns, due dates, deductible and co-payment, notice periods). They are estimates and planning aids: actual amounts, interest, dates, premiums and results may differ. Your contracts, policies, invoices and bank statements are what count.
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information entered. The tools do not constitute financial, investment, tax, insurance or legal advice, nor a recommendation for any particular product. To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for decisions you make based on these calculations.
8. Tax return
Version of 22 October 2026
This section applies to orders for the tax returns of private individuals. For these orders, it takes precedence over sections 1 to 7. You see your fixed price, including any Express surcharge, in the deductions check before you place the order. Fees charged by the tax office are not included.
8.1 Two options. With “We do it”, Fidevo prepares your tax return from your documents and submits it to you for approval. With “AI fills in”, Fidevo provides software: an AI reads your receipts and creates a fill-in guide from them. You check the values and file yourself.
8.2 Processing time. With “We do it”, your finished return is ready for approval within 7 to 22 calendar days, at the latest after 22 calendar days. The time only starts when Fidevo confirms to you by email that all documents are complete. If Fidevo asks a follow-up question, the time is on hold until your answer arrives. If you report your documents as complete in your account, Fidevo usually checks this within 2 working days. If Fidevo exceeds the 22 calendar days through its own fault, Fidevo refunds all or part of the price, depending on the delay.
8.3 Express. For a surcharge, your finished return is ready for approval within 2 working days, i.e. within 48 hours counted on working days only. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding the public holidays in the canton of Zug: New Year's Day, Berchtold's Day (2 January), Good Friday, Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Whit Monday, Corpus Christi, 1 August, Assumption Day, All Saints' Day, Immaculate Conception, Christmas Day and St Stephen's Day. Example: if Fidevo confirms completeness on Friday at 10:00, the return is ready by Tuesday at 10:00 at the latest. This time, too, only starts with the confirmation that your documents are complete, and follow-up questions put it on hold. Express is only available with “We do it” and only when placing the order. If Fidevo does not meet the 2 working days, you get the surcharge back.
8.4 Your cooperation. With “We do it”, you provide complete, correct and clearly legible documents as well as your canton’s access details. You answer follow-up questions promptly. You forward post from the tax office, such as a reminder or a request for information, to Fidevo immediately. Reminder deadlines are short, in Zurich for example 10 days.
8.5 Tax office deadlines. The tax office sets the deadline for your tax return. It applies to you as the taxpayer, not to Fidevo. Send your documents early enough for the processing time to end before this deadline expires. With “We do it”, Fidevo requests an extension if your canton allows a representative to do so and your access details reach Fidevo before the deadline expires. The tax office decides whether the extension is granted. Any fees for it are borne by you.
8.6 Late documents. If your documents or answers arrive so late that the tax office deadline cannot be met, you bear the consequences and costs. These include reminder fees, fines and a discretionary assessment. Fidevo meets its own processing time. Fidevo is not liable for delays caused by documents submitted late.
8.7 Filing. Fidevo only files after your approval. In cantons where a representative may not file (for example Bern) or where this is not officially settled (currently Lucerne), you file yourself in your canton’s portal. Fidevo provides you with the finished return there and shows you how. This completes Fidevo’s service. Filing on time is then up to you.
8.8 Your responsibility. Towards the tax office, you are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your return, even if Fidevo prepared it. Therefore, check the return before you approve it.
8.9 AI fills in. With this option, an AI reads your receipts and suggests values. The AI can make mistakes. It can misread values, miss them or assign them wrongly. Fidevo does not check the values and does not file anything for you. A check by Fidevo is not included and cannot be added. You check every item, transfer the values to your canton’s online tax return and file yourself. You alone are responsible for the information and the deadline. Fidevo gives no guarantee that the suggested values are correct and complete. The fill-in guide is not an official form.
8.10 Questions. With “AI fills in”, you can reach Fidevo by message in your account or at . An answer is neither a check of your return nor tax advice.
8.11 Liability. Fidevo works with care. In the event of slight negligence, Fidevo’s liability is limited to the fixed price of the order concerned. Fidevo is not liable for the consequences of incorrect, incomplete or late information and documents, for decisions of the tax office or for disruptions of the cantonal portals. Liability for intent and gross negligence remains reserved (Art. 100 CO).
8.12 Termination. You and Fidevo can end the order at any time. Fidevo then charges for the work done up to that point, at most the fixed price. Fidevo only charges an Express surcharge if Express processing has already begun.
9. Applicable law
Swiss law applies exclusively. The place of jurisdiction is Zug (Switzerland), to the extent permitted by law.
